relaxAI is at the forefront of human-AI interaction, but today, we’re going one step further—and one paw closer—to unlocking communication with an entirely new audience: PETS!

We’re thrilled (and maybe a little bark-happy) to announce PetTalk, a revolutionary new feature that allows relaxAI to translate your pet’s sounds into fluent English, in real-time. But that’s not all...PetTalk also lets you respond back in your pet’s language, whether it’s meows, woofs, squeaks, or whatever sound your ferret makes at 3AM.

“We’ve been working on this groundbreaking technology for the past 12 months, thanks to a generous research grant from the RSPCA,” said Mark Boost, CEO of relaxAI. “Our aim was simple: to create the world’s first truly interspecies AI assistant. It’s safe to say, ChatGPT has some catching up to do.”

The science behind PetTalk

The secret to PetTalk’s success? A close collaboration with Dr. Emily Petrichor, professor of Animal-Human Communication at the prestigious (and definitely real) University of Ashwood. Dr. Petrichor’s team spent countless hours analyzing pet videos on YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook—purely for science, of course.

“The key lies in the micro-tonal nuances of vocalizations,” said Dr. Petrichor. “By applying advanced machine learning and natural language processing to over 300,000 videos, we were able to map out emotional, social, and snack-related meaning in everything from a cat’s purr to a parrot’s scream.”

What can PetTalk do?

Right now, PetTalk is fluent in one language: Dog. Whether it’s joyful barking, grumpy growling, or that weird howl they do when the post arrives, relaxAI can translate it into plain English—finally letting you know whether they really do want to go for the fifth walk of the day.

Coming soon, we’ll be expanding our language pack to include Cat (for those cryptic meows and occasional yowls) and even Goldfish, via interpretative bubble tracking. Yes, we’re as curious as you are.

Features currently in dog mode:

  • Understand your dog’s barking about the squirrel conspiracy in the garden.
  • Discover their opinions on kibble quality, doorbells, and why they fear the vacuum.
  • Finally settle the debate on who’s a good boy (spoiler: it’s always them).

Early beta users have already reported some enlightening conversations:

  • "My Labrador told me he doesn’t like fetch—he just humours me.”
  • "My terrier asked why I call him ‘buddy’ when his name is clearly Steve.”

So whether you're ready to negotiate bedtime with your beagle or just want to hear what your dog thinks of your music taste, PetTalk is here to help, with more species joining the conversation soon.

Try it today… maybe
